From a very young age, Todd has always questioned everything he came across in life. His curiosity is probably what led him to undertaking a major in Comparative Studies, which allowed him to analyze how society works and how people choose to live their lives and express themselves. Today, he uses his skills and expertise to analyze the US gambling market.

After graduating, Winkler stuck around in Columbus, taking on a few different writing jobs, before training as a croupier at one of the newly opened casinos in the area. While dealing cards, he found it fascinating to speak with players and hear what their motivations for gambling were.
